WHAT TO EXPECT
The eMachine Thermal CAE engineer is responsible for performing thermal design and analysis of eMachine assemblies under the technical guidance of the eMachine Thermal Subject Matter Expert. In this role you will liaise with the eMachine electromagnetic team, the eMachine CFD team and the EDU teams to develop, build and execute thermal models of the eMachine to confirm peak and continuous performance across a range of specific drive cycles and perform Lifetime assessments relating to the thermal aspects of the eMachine. The eMachine Thermal CAE Engineer reports to the eMachine Commodity Manager.
Day to day you will support all activities related to the development and execution of eMachine 1D thermal models, eMachine thermal performance, and thermal management. You will perform correlation studies between predicted and measured eMachine temperatures as well as help to support the development of test procedures and internal standards relating to the thermal aspects of eMachine assemblies and subcomponents.
The eMachine Thermal CAE Engineer will support the component delivery engineers in the compilation of programme deliverables related to thermal aspects of the eMachine, as well as support the component delivery engineers in resolving issues relating to the thermal behaviour of assembled eMachines.
You will also be responsible for supporting Validation Engineers in the functional and durability testing pertaining to eMachines.
