We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Cadishead.

The Electrical Engineer role:

You will be required to carry out engineering activities within the department and work generated by the engineering CMMS in order of priority against criticality.

You will install/repair/maintain/inspect, electrical plant, equipment & services to satisfactory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibility for the application of electrical safety requirements and for the development and application of electrical technical procedures across all company sites. Deputy for the Electrical Manager.

+ Assessed and authorised as the Company ‘Authorising Engineer’ to undertake assessment of electrical personnel under the Company Electrical Safety Rules.
+ Develop and implement technical procedures and instructions to fulfil the requirements of the company Electrical Safety Management systems.
+ Provide expert resource for the assessment of deferred maintenance activities on electrical equipment.
+ Provide expert resource for the assessment of defects and corrective maintenance activities
+ Provide technical leadership on electrical safety matters, supporting the direction from the Electrical Manager.
+ Monitor and maintain records of authorised persons, and their associated training and competence records, utilising existing company systems as required
+ Liaise with subcontractors and specialists as necessary where company expertise is not available
+ Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems.
 + Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and lead the team to deliver effectively

We Are Looking For:

The successful candidate would be time served with a four- or five-year apprenticeship or work experience in electrical engineering.

Compex trained and COMAH experience are both desirable but not necessary.
