About Us:

The Role:

The right candidate will have working knowledge and skills in electrical design have previously worked on electrical manufactured products. Being familiar with new product introduction, prototype qualification and product certification are all essential to the successful fulfilment of this role. 

You will be well versed on what it takes to lead on electrical design and implementation for products. And will have the ability to take on the varied tasks of product design, implementation, report and analysis, testing and strategy, whilst collaborating with others within the team. 

Given the manufacturing arm to our business operations the right candidate will have proven experience in electrical product design. Experience in electrical product design is essential in order to qualify for this role and applications will not be considered without this. 

Our office is based in East Lothian, just outside of Macmerry, so you will be required to competently commute into our office every day.

What you will need: 

• Certification - 18^th Edition, BS7671
• Experience of completing electrical product design on manufactured products, is essential in order to be considered for this role 
• Compliance to Product Design Standards such as EN 60335
• Electrical wiring experience
• Knowledge of programming languages or PLC’s.

As Electrical Design Engineer, it will be your responsibility to: 

• Quickly grasp and determine the associated tasks and areas of work that will need managing and delivering upon within the electrical product design and engineering.
• Achieve a basic understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer and thermal properties of materials, alongside knowledge of phase change materials and their use for heat storage.
