The role
As an Electrical Fitter - Leading Cable Operative you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being responsible for installing, removing, maintaining, and repairing electrical, fibre optic and other cables in Naval Platforms for temporary and fixed systems.

Day to day,
* Ability to lead a team in the installation of cables on a Naval Platform
* Measure and cut cable according to install length
* Pull and lay cables as per instruction
* Label and record cables
* Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams & work packs
* Penetration packing of cabling taking into consideration Electromagnetic Current (EMC) implications, segregation, and bend radius
* Management of drum allocation

Essential experience of the Electrical Fitter - Leading Cable Operative
* Recent and relevant experience working in a similar service provider environment.
* Experience working within environment with energised equipment, aware of isolation & safe systems of work requirements.
* Knowledge of cable pulling techniques

This role is full time and based on site at Rosyth.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
