Job Description

What will you do in this role?

In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and execute engineering, design, testing, and analysis tasks for major projects. You'll be acknowledged as an internal expert in a specific field, offering technical advice and guidance. Additionally, you will take the lead, providing technical leadership and engineering solutions, while also coordinating and reviewing the work of other engineers or apprentices.

Responsibilities

- Responsible for the execution of the defined maintenance plan and agreeing the schedule with appropriate operations.
- Responsible for integrating planned maintenance and reactive or corrective maintenance arising as the result of breakdowns, faults reported, or conditions found during a planned inspection.
- Ensure all equipment inspected and tested by the team is in compliance with current legislation and codes of practice and that all work to do this is delivered safely and effectively.
- Take full ownership of delivering the inspection and testing programme, in accordance with UKAEA policy.
- Plan preventive maintenance and in Equipment Life Cycle.
- Ensure that the training and competencies of direct reports are kept up to date.

Qualifications

Essential

- Bachelor’s degree or HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of large distribution networks and asset management.
- Experience of issuing electrical isolations on HV/LV systems.
