The Role:

To both carry out a range of electrical work and to supervise Electrical Operatives and/or Electrical Contractors working on our clients sites ensuring that any electrical Installations which are worked on are safe for continued use to safeguard the service users, members of the public, clients personnel and Office Test employees from any potential danger associated with electricity.

You will be part of a busy and vibrant team of Qualifying Supervisors. The work is predominantly in London and the South East but some further travel may be required from time to time

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

To ensure that ALL electrical work is carried in accordance with The Electricity @ Work Regulations 1989 and in line with the requirements of BS 7671 (as amended) Office Test Electrical Procedures and Policies.

To supervise and oversee electrical work carried out by electrical operatives and/or by any sub-contractors.

Prior to new large jobs/Projects/Sites commencement; attend Job Prestart meetings/ Visit Initial site/meetings before commencement of works. Understand the job fully (specification) before commencement. Develop a programme of works. Prepare the job before handing over to the site supervisor/leader; Rams inclusive.

To carry out Inspection and Testing on electrical work as required, ensuring all results are accurate and complete and to maintain all paperwork and electronic data records relevant to the work carried out and to ensure completion of the job is confirmed and a comprehensive and accurate history is available for audit purposes, which includes quality, H&S issues and for invoicing purposes.

To carry out regular Quality Audits and Competence Assessments of the electrical operatives and electrical contractors.

To attend informal and formal meetings and training sessions to ensure up to date business and job knowledge, communication, skills & progression are maintained. This includes but is not limited to training, re-training, toolbox talks, 1:1’s, probation reviews etc.

To adopt a professional manner when communicating with service users and/or client/external contacts to build and maintain a positive view of Office Test. This includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID, communication.

The Candidate:

Essential Qualifications:

* C&G 2360 Parts 1&2 or equivalent
* C&G 2382 – 18 (18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations)
* C&G2391 or equivalent

Or an equivalent qualification for any of the above

* Experience within a similar role.
* Have a systematic/logical approach to tasks & problems
* Ensure all tasks are carried out quickly & efficiently
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Good customer service skills
* The ability to think laterally and "out of the box"
* Prompt and consistent time keeping
* Current driving license
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications (primarily Word and Excel).
