The Role:

You will be required to provide a business-critical response service, execute routine planned and reactive maintenance duties. You will be a committed, friendly, team player who is customer focused. You will be time served with a recognised qualification, experienced in the maintenance environment, a working knowledge of health and safety and hold a current driving licence. Initiative, flexibility and team-working are essential requirements of this demanding post in a diverse environment.

Personal Specification:

Essential:

  • City & Guilds Advanced Craft in Electrical Installation, or NVQ level 3 Electrical Installations
  • Time Served Apprenticeship in Electrical Installations
  • A working knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Experience in working in a customer-based environment, with excellent customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to respond quickly to requests for work in an emergency
  • Ability to work as part of a team or alone
  • Experience in fault finding and working on commercial heating plant, system controls, emergency lighting, internal/external lighting, domestic appliances, single & 3 phase power circuits, Installation of temporary supplies to exhibitions, electrical installations and testing
  • A willingness to participate in and use, the introduction of new technology
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage & prioritise workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work as part of a shift rota pattern covering 24 hours

Desirable:

  • City & Guilds 18th Edition wiring regulations
  • Current manual handling and first aid certificates
  • Commitment to undergo further training through operational requirements and personal staff development
