Salary: Starting annual salary based on 40-hour week: £39,500 to £43,400 (with additional payments for extra responsibilities)

 

The Company:

 

A specialist electrical/mechanical contractor to the electrical supply industry and other large consumers of electricity. The company specialises in repair and refurbishment of power transformers and associated high voltage plant within electricity substations.

 

The Role:

 

We are looking for a time served electrician required work in small multi skilled teams working within high voltage substations throughout the UK. General electrical duties will also be required including;

 

  • Installation and terminating of multi-core cabling
  • Panel installations and wiring
  • Ensuring all paperwork is adhered to and completed correctly
  • Ensuring all work is carried out to the required standard.
  • Assisting multi skilled teams with the installation and repair of power transformers

Additional Information:

 

Most works will be working away from home with occasional weekend and bank holiday working required. Transport and lodging allowance / expenses are given. 

 

 

Candidate Requirement:

 

  • Must be time served electrician with all relevant qualifications
  • A good overall trade knowledge and technical competence is however essential
  • Although not essential, experience of working on power transformers or within HV substations would be of benefit
  • You must be open to opportunities for training to help with career progression 

The Benefits

 

  • Starting annual salary based on 40-hour week: £39,500 to £43,400 (with additional payments for extra responsibilities)
  • Overtime is paid at enhanced rates if 40 hours is exceeded. 
  • Daily enhancements are also paid for taking on specific responsibilities.  
  • Training will be provided to help gain the experience needed for progression. 
  • Death in service benefit of three times your annual salary.
  • Contribute to a pension scheme.
  • Travel time to and from site is covered by the company as well as providing suitable transport.
  • Expenses while away for hotel and allowances to agreed levels.
