Salary: Circa £42,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: We trust our people to agree, within their teams, where and when they can be most effective. Our Dynamic Working policy allows individuals flexibility around the hours they work and where they work. Typically for this role you will work 3-4 days a week on-site. This is flexible and can be more or less to suit personal circumstance and project needs. We are also open to considering a compressed hours working pattern in this role.

The opportunity:

Our Firing Units team is responsible for circuit design, prototyping, testing and integration/design proving of hardware needed for Launch Management systems, datalink and communications systems, as well as providing embedded computing resources for larger Command and Control systems.

As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will contribute to the design of high-integrity, complex systems for our cutting-edge products, with the capability to support process improvement.

As one of our Firing Units Engineers, you will use your extensive and current electronic engineering experience to contribute to a team responsible for designing the electronic equipment required to safely, reliably and efficiently integrate MBDA products into our platforms.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Ideally, degree qualified with post qualification experience in electronic design, development and delivery.
  • Electronic Design or Power Electronics experience specifically.
  • Some experience of leading electronic design packages of work.
  • A willingness to challenge how we do things and bring fresh, new ideas.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate with multiple stakeholders.
