WHAT TO EXPECT
The eMachine System Lead Engineer will lead the definition, integration and delivery of the eMachine into the EDU system used in the next generation of in house manufactured Electric Drive Units. Also, it will lead the functional integration of the different components of the eMachine.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the delivery of a working eMachine meeting all the performance, physical and durability requirements and attributes, from the day one of the program, through the different deign and validation phases and until the beginning of production.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• Assist and contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
• Contribute to the delivery of the area onto all programmes, in line with the Systems Engineering discipline outlined by Product Creation Systems.
• Provide technical support and assistance across the eMachine team on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of multiple interconnected components including issue resolution and objective data analysis.
• Work with Technical Specialists and Advanced Engineering on Attribute and Function Forward Strategies, including new Function Definition and Failure Mode Avoidance.
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
In order to be considered for this position the successful candidate needs good verbal and written communications, analytical and problem-solving skills and track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.

Essential
• Good relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector.
• Expertise in eMachines, specially their thermal and electromagnetic behaviour.
• Working knowledge on inverters and Electric Drive Units & Requirements Management.
• Experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance.
