“We are always looking for exceptional talent to join our inspiring multinational family and right now we are seeking to recruit a skilled Embedded Firmware Lead Engineer with 5 to 10 years’ experience, who is familiar with AGILE processes and planning software like JIRA, and with a strong aptitude for developing digital tools, to help us develop world-class testing equipment coupled to digitised services.

You will lead the firmware development team and be responsible for providing robust embedded firmware in industry standard languages for both new product development and sustaining existing products through their life-cycles.

As a talented design engineer with manufacturing knowledge, you will lead on all new product development programs, providing correction, recommendation and decision-making on product strategies that demonstrate industry best practice. You will provide consultative support to senior management in long-range planning in research and advancement of firmware and software.

Specific activities include the consistent delivery of firmware tasks against project plans, developing 100% sprint goal completion throughout project duration, and continually improve a Megger coding standard for the UK with the potential to adopt Group wide.

The role will develop quickly, and we will support you to acquire new skills. Megger is growing and will give you clear career progression routes, we are also developing an ambitious digital strategy. We want a technical leader with interest and ability in digitalisation: implementing platforms to share firmware architecture solutions cross enterprise; placing analytical data acquired by our equipment on the cloud and devising security protocols
