Salary: £33,000 - £37,000 depending on experience (plus pension, vehicle, and overtime)

Here at Olympic Gymnasium Services, we carry out inspection, maintenance, repairs, installation, and refurbishment of PE, sports and play equipment in school gyms, playgrounds and sports halls.

We are a small team, looking for someone who enjoys varied and challenging work, wants to be part of and lead a friendly team, is enthusiastic to learn, has excellent customer service skills and who is able to organise and take responsibility for all aspects of a job whether working alone or as part of a team.

The Role:

• As Team Leader, you will work alongside the Technicians to carry out maintenance activities and deliver 'on the job' coaching, mentoring and training. You will play a key part in leading effective communication within your team, reviewing performance and targeting improvements
• Travelling to customer sites e.g. schools, colleges, military establishments and leisure centres to inspect, maintain and report on, and repair all gymnasium, sports hall, playground and exercise equipment
• Installing new equipment such as climbing frames, basketball goals, sports hall netting
• Refurbishing and court marking sports floors

You will be required to stay away occasional week days to minimise travel and work occasional weekends at busy periods in school holidays and half terms

The Candidate:

• Experience supervising team members to ensure training, safety, quality, and legal standards are met
• Able to read technical drawings, design solutions, plan jobs, order parts. Practical experience in a similar or general maintenance role, fixing and fitting or installation role
• Experience using hand tools, working at heights on a tower, floor sanders/buffers and arc welding
• Excellent customer service skills, a problem solver and able to communicate effectively
• Able to work alone or as part of a team
• Hold a clean and valid driving licence and DBS check and have the necessary permits to work in the UK
• A PASMA certificate would be helpful but not essential as you would be trained on the relevant course
• Ideally located near the M1/M40/M4 corridors up to 80 miles from London

Benefits:

Salary range is £33-37k plus pension, company vehicle, and overtime, package negotiable depending on your experience and any relevant qualifications.
