Within this role you would be required to support the future delivery and operational capability of the function through the development of graduates, technicians, apprentices and year in industry students to make sure they are fully developed to be appropriately skilled contributors deployed in the business.
What will you be responsible for?
Through Early Careers Manager contribute to People Plan (including resource balancing, critical skills development, diversity and inclusion, and clear development pathways) and implement for early careers employees
Share best practice across sub-functions, groups, and teams
Provide data and information on progress of early careers community for compilation of regular reports to People board and sub-function heads
Contribute to Outreach activities by:
Creating and implementing a plan of activities at schools/colleges/universities
Support Early careers community in delivering activities at local schools/colleges
Support relationships with Customers, Parent Organisations, Academia, Industry Partners, and Professional Institutions in regard to wider development opportunities
Support Early Careers Manager with integrated, deliverable, and (resource) balanced data into Rolling Waves
What will you need to be considered?
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and able to communicate information in a clear and concise manner
Experience in an Early Careers role (desirable)
Competence in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Proven track record of driving delivery, performance and continuous improvement
Proactively seek opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiencies that engage others and add value
Ability to set, and support others in setting, strategic direction
Excellent organisational skills
Understanding of how to present metrics and management information
Awareness of corporate strategies and business wide initiatives
