You will be joining a team of 550 highly effective engineers within the Fleet Operations Directorate.

This is a challenging and rewarding role at HMNB Clyde within an expanding Compliance Department focused on ensuring delivery of a conforming product to the Royal Navy's submarine flotilla.

The difference our new Engineering Inspection Services Manager will make
As the EIS Manager, you will have a role that is out of the ordinary. This is a highly prestigious position within our complex Fleet Time Support programme, responsible for delivering the fully suite of inspections and surveys ensuring the staff are equipped and capable of conducted inspections to the highest standards, prior to nuclear submarine deployments.


Day to day you will be responsible for managing the Non Destructive Examination, Hull Survey and Metallurgy Engineers whilst working with the Internal and external stakeholders to assure safe and compliant delivery against the maintenance programmes of multiple submarines.


Implement and own monthly reports whilst delivering against KPIs and leading the maintenance and improvement in quality standards of the section outputs. Ensure the development of team members to support both their effective working, and their development.


In addition, you will belong to the wider Babcock Marine Nuclear Group and will have the opportunity to support other projects in different roles within your discipline with a focus on longer term career development.

To be successful in this role you will have:
* An Engineering Degree Qualification or equivalent experience
* UK Security cleared or able for achieve UK SC clearance.
* Excellent analytical and report writing skills
* Significant Management experience
* Experience within a highly regulated environment
