The role
As an Engineering Lead - RF Communications, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is a fantastic and rare opportunity to work within a multi-discipline design team, working on new and exciting international projects as part of a rapidly expanding organisation. This role is quite unique in the fact you'll be able to see the output of the work you have completed come to fruition.

Day-to-day, you'll provide in depth technical expertise and system design ownership, collaborating with other Subject Matter Experts (SME) and have oversight of a small team of engineers producing detailed specifications, designs and other technical deliverables as well as:

  • Managing engineering change to systems, deconflicting priorities as necessary
  • Leading engineering and system design delivery, collaborating with other SME's and participating in requirements management, justification and decomposition
  • Generating detailed specifications, designs and other technical deliverables whilst working closely with peers to aid engineering change to systems applying control via adherence to process and decomposition of interfaces and studies between systems, sub systems and functions
  • Leading operational engineering teams with in-service systems, troubleshooting technical faults and problem management
  • Participating in validation, verification, test and acceptance activities

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with four days in the office/onsite and one day working from home.

Essential experience of the Engineering Lead - RF Communications

  • Knowledge of voice and data traffic handling and switching systems, VCCS (Voice Communications Control System) and ICCS (Integrated Communications Control System)
  • Voice and data comms technologies and protocols such as SIP/RTP, ED-137, serial, IP and TDM
  • Demonstrable system and solution architecture design and delivery experience

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC clearance to start, and achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
