About the role:

We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller with a strong background in operating and programming Siemens control systems to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling machines, producing high-precision components from various materials, including exotic alloys, stainless steel, and aluminium. This role requires a precise individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC milling machines with Siemens control systems.
  • Interpret and work from engineering drawings and CAD models to produce components to specified tolerances.
  • Program CNC machines using Siemens controls, ensuring optimal efficiency and precision.
  • Utilise offline programming software, such as Alphacam, to prepare CNC programs and optimise machining processes.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any technical issues.
  • Conduct first-off inspection and verify the accuracy of machined parts using precision measurement tools.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all components meet strict quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance machining processes and efficiencies.

About you:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Miller in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines with Siemens controls.
  • Strong understanding of machining processes and materials, including metals and exotic alloys.
  • Experience with offline programming, particularly using Alphacam, is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
  • Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
