About the job

Job Title: Fire & Security Installation and Maintenance Engineer (Experienced or Trainee)

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 with regular salary review, depending on experience.

Schedule: Monday to Friday.

About the Company:

They are a small but growing company providing specialist installation and maintenance services for integrated electronic security systems.

The company is now looking for a security engineer to join their small team of experienced engineers. Although their Head Office and demo field is based in Lincolnshire, their clients are based throughout the UK.

About the role:

This role involves the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems including intruder alarms, access control, fire alarms and specialist perimeter protection devices.   Ideally you will be experienced in this type of role but we will consider applicants with the right skills, enthusiasm and attitude.

The successful candidate should be able to diagnose faults and demonstrate good customer facing skills.  As one of our engineers, you should be confident enough to work on your own as well as part of a team.  You must have a head for heights as steps and ladder work is an essential part of this role.   There is a mixture of both indoor and outdoor work and the candidate should be prepared to travel to sites throughout the UK.  There will sometimes be a need for an overnight stay but this shouldn’t happen on a regular basis.

Candidate Requirements:

It is important that you are a good communicator and can work as part of their great team. In return you will receive all the necessary training and great support to become a fully trained engineer. Being fully trained means that you will be able to install, integrate and maintain intruder alarms, CCTV, access control and fire detection.

  • Candidates MUST have a full UK driving licence.
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass high level security screening.

What they can offer:

They value all their staff and know how crucial engineers are to this business.  Offering you a great working environment with their amazing team, well stocked company van plus fuel card, and training on specialist systems/equipment.   It goes without saying you will be provided with a mobile phone and laptop. If successful, you will be offered a probationary period of 6 months after which you will be eligible to join their health benefit scheme and take advantage of their other incentives.

The company will encourage you in continued professional development throughout your career.

They know how important it is to be able to have money in your pocket and we will provide regular salary reviews as well as help you achieve and enjoy a good work life balance.

This position requires not only a DBS check but also a high level of security vetting. These will be paid for by the company. Any job offer will be subject to the successful clearance of these checks
