The Role

As a Field Service Technician you will be responsible for the pro-active progression of the service and maintenance of customers equipment to the highest possible standards whilst protecting the best interests of the company at all times. The role is both challenging and varied.

You will attend numerous sites with Boon Edam products to maintain and service them both on a pre-planned and a call-out basis. As a Field Service Technician you will establish and maintain excellent working relationships with customers whilst promoting the products and services of Boon Edam.

You will be a confident communicator and display excellent time management skills. You will be technical minded, enjoy problem solving and have a keen interest to ensure health & safety guidelines are adhered too at all times. The role requires regular paperwork to be completed and submitted in a timely manner.

This is a remote role where the successful candidate will be expected to operate from their respective regional base, additionally they may be required to operate from a different regional base as requested by the Regional Service Manager. There will be the occasional need to stay away from home as well as being on standby for call-outs overnight and on weekends, therefore flexibility of working hours is essential.

You will ideally live in Basingstoke/ Reading or surrounding areas and you must hold a full driving licence.

The Candidate:

  • Working knowledge of health and safety.
  • Currently working within the industry or a similar environment would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Technically competent.
  • CSCS card holder desirable but not essential.
  • EN16005 accredited desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management.
  • Excellent communicator able to liaise with and build customer rapport.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programmes.
  • Electro/ mechanical qualification desirable but not essential.
  • GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or higher.
