An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Manufacturing UK Finance team, supporting the UK Manufacturing function of more than 1,000 employees.

Salary: Up to £55,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working depending upon project classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will be embedded within a multi-function environment, providing a service to both finance and non-finance functions in order to support the delivery of the annual financial objectives.

This role will give you broad experience of manufacturing finance, involving cost base and projects, as well as business partnering. As a result of the evolving workload, this position offers great potential to progress within the team.

You will:

  • Have financial responsibility and accountability for specific programmes
  • Support and manage Unit Production Costs (UPCs), delivering accurate, timely and valuable management information
  • Control of overhead cost base of allocated departments
  • Be involved in the SAP 4/HANA implementation

What we're looking for from you:

  • You will be a Part Qualified / Qualified Accountant with experience within a large, manufacturing based environment
  • Background of project and / or overhead cost control
  • Experience of SAP (R3 and / or HANA) and an associated Manufacturing Execution System would be a significant advantage
  • Experience of working as a Business Partner to Non Finance stakeholders
  • Knowledge of manufacturing based performance metrics
  • Willingness to travel to other MBDA UK sites as and when needed
