 The successful candidate for the above role will retain their current employer, i.e. if you are a Jaguar employee you will continue to be administered on the Jaguar grading structure with the associated terms and conditions. If you are currently on BAC or EMC terms, you will retain your current employer but will transfer to a JLR contract and the associated terms and conditions.

The successful candidate will be welcomed in the Manufacturing Engineering department, dedicated to the accountability for the delivery of Infrastructure projects within Manufacturing Engineering (ME). The works will include all aspects of Infrastructure delivery, including, Civils, Structural steelwork, mechanical / electrical service installations and general building fitout within the site, using the support of our inhouse and external vendors. 

 

 It is crucial for the successful candidate to have strong organisational and project management skills and have a customer first mindset with proven experience leading and managing teams to deliver against timescales and budgets.

 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

This role is a key position in the delivery of GME’s core works, and covers the full spectrum of delivery, from Feasibility, Procurement, Manufacture, Delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover. The successful candidate will be accountable for the delivery of Infrastructure Projects within GME Manufacturing plants, using both internal and external contractor base.  You will be responsible to drive a “Zero Harm” approach to safety in our designs and contractor performance which will include civil works, structural steel works, mechanical & electrical works and general facility fit outs. 

 

 

Within this role you will be supporting the GME Infrastructure Manager in the development of key stakeholder relationships ensuring that GME is the primary source of all Infrastructure works. This will include stakeholders outside of GME. You will be in turn supporting the wider business planning, in scheme reviews, budget cost creation and justifications to deliver Projects within budget and scope. 

 

 

 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 Essential: 

 

  • Previous experience and strong background of Infrastructure works from conception through to delivery and completion
  • Experience in contractor management and site installations
  • Clear understanding of site safety, and Safety legislation (CDM 2015 Reg etc)  
  • Excellent knowledge of Infrastructure methods, materials and skills requirements. 
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills 
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams to deliver against tight timescales and budgets 
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting the development and costing of proposals, right through to delivery and final project completion 

 

Desirable:

  • Relevant degree qualified or equivalent experience, preferred (but not essential) in Infrastructure, Plant, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines / industry
