Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: Up to £50k (negotiable & depending on experience) Overtime paid at time and a half.

Location: Rickmansworth, Herts WD3.

Schedule: Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 4:00pm - Friday 7:30am to 1:00pm. Overtime paid at 1.5x

The company offer ‘The Complete Package’ by manufacture of parts and sub-assemblies complete to a wide range of customers in sectors including Aerospace, Defence, Oil & Gas, Motorsport (including Formula 1), Food/Scientific and Medical to name a few.

Due to the expansion of their Grinding Department, they are seeking an experienced Precision Grinder / Team Leader to join their busy and expanding engineering team on a permanent basis.

About The Role:

Leading the Grinding team with Setting and Operating Cylindrical and Surface Grinders, and other equipment within our busy Grinding department.

Candidate Requirements:

• CNC Grinding (Studer (Fanuc) / Jones & Shipman) programming & setting experience an advantage.
• Manual Cylindrical and Surface Grinding including internal and external grinding.
• A good understanding of engineering drawings.
• Experience of leading a small team and advantage.
• Ability and knowledge of grinding complex parts to tight tolerances. 
• Able to use various types of measuring equipment.
• Ability to work with the minimum of supervision.
• ·         Experience of small / medium size batch work an advantage.
• Previous experience of working in a similar sub contract manufacturing environment.
• Good communication skills at all levels.
