Your next role:

This is a Board level role across the Group that consists of operations in the UK, Poland, Portugal, Hungary, China and South Africa. This role will lead and organise best practice Engineering teams across these locations. You will be a highly skilled change practitioner with the ability to work with the Leads across the regions to create the best working environment and structure for over 1000 engineers and world class delivery teams.

You will ensure that our engineers across EMEA and beyond find the company to be a great place to work and make sure they feel connected and part of our group delivery capability as well as members of their local team.

You will work with the engineering leads and country leads in all our group locations to find new, improved ways to deliver engineering at scale across geographic boundaries and time zones. You will bring and develop your own ideas but must be open to listening to alternate viewpoints and where necessary adjusting your approach.

Key responsibilities:

+ Running a team of engineering management leaders across the group covering all specialties, technologies, and locations
+ Managing, supporting and delivering group business objectives
+ Developing relationships with wider teams to create an atmosphere of close collaboration
+ Ensuring we have the right skill sets in the right locations
+ Owning, creating, updating and amplifying the core Engineering Strategy of the group
+ Driving a consistent set of engineering standards throughout the group
 + Collaborating and combining our practices and ways of working sufficiently to allow us to deliver projects with teams sourced from across the group

About you:

+ Experience of running engineering teams at scale with an associated P&L
+ Experience of managing multinational, distributed teams
+ The strategic vision to create, change and develop a growing engineering practice
+ Experience of reviewing, recommending and creating organisational change across a geographically dispersed organisation
+ Experience of working within and agency or consultancy environment
+ Ideally experience of working within client pitches and RFI/RFP scenarios
+ Experience of at communicating ideas and concepts in a persuasive but sensitive manner to technical and non-technical audiences
+ Understanding of cultural sensitivities and ways of working
+ Ability to create a cohesive team culture with remote colleagues
+ Ability to travel as needed to deliver your initiatives
+ Ability to lead and inspire a diverse team across EMEA and beyond
+ Knowledge of market trends and client needs to ensure the engineering team is fit purpose
 + Excellent communication skills, both written and in person
