WHAT TO EXPECT

As an ADAS Hardware Engineer within the Hardware Group, you will be taking on a role that is critical for delivering AAD & Motion technologies across multiple present and future Model Years for Jaguar Land Rover. Your focus is within the team that develops, integrates and maintains all Hardware for engineering tasks and deliverables for multiple systems for the application of the Hardware onto the defined programmes.

Within the Hardware Group you will have the opportunity to work in an Agile team, driving the future of innovation in the Automotive industry. Thanks to our recent partnership with NVIDIA, you will get the chance to integrate their software into our vehicles, dealing with everything from Mechanical Integration to Electronic Component Heat Analysis. This is an incredbily varied and exciting role, giving you the opportunity to work in a large, varied team, communicating at all levels to ensure working to the exceptionally high standards expected of Jaguar Land Rover.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

As an ADAS Hardware Engineer, you will be expected to have good, working knowledge of CAN, SPI, Flexray and Ethernet. You will also be expected to communicate effectively across all business levels and work closely with suppliers to ensure that products are completed to Jaguar Land Rover standards. You will need to have a willingness to adapt and learn, as the role is incredibly varied, needing you to be Agile and willing to get stuck into any task that is needed of you and provide support to the wider team around you. You will be expected to have knowledge of Testing requirements including, but not limited to, Canalyser, Canape, oscilloscope, digital logic analyser and other test equipment.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Experience of production software development and delivery through all stages of the engineering development V cycle, from requirements to validation.

• Experience with 32,16 and 8bits microcontrollers; Experience with Infineon Aurix, MPC55xx, HCS08 would be an advantage

• Excellent Hardware Engineering problem solving and issue investigation skills.

Desirable:

• Multiple Software Language skills (C, C+, Python, Java, etc)

• Experience in Automotive Engineering Delivery and in solving complex technical issues using a structured approach

• Experience with requirements management e.g. Doors

• Knowledge and overview of JLR Toolsets, release processes, requirement and issue management (AIMs, RMDV, CORVUS, ASL, Snapshot)
