Location: Denham, Uxbridge

Up to £80,000 basic salary + car allowance

A industry-leading aerospace engineering organisation is looking for an experienced Head of Environmental Test to join their busy team in Denham.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for:

• Leading a team of professionals and ensuring Operational Excellence, Performance, Safety and utilisation of the test facility.
• The leadership, performance management and development of the test department team in delivering against the Company's Vision, Mission and Values.
• Providing the strategic development in facility and service provision aligned with the Company's current and future needs.
• Providing the development of business focussed policies and procedures in respect to all Company Environmental Test activities, ensuring compliance of the function with statutory requirements under which the department has legal and commercial obligation to meet. These include compliance with HSE Explosive regulations and the Company's SMS

Experience/Skills required:

• Engineering related degree or equivalent
• Experience managing people, process and facilities conducting multiple complex (including safety critical) processes.
• Leadership experience - able to coach empower and develop others.
• Data driven and with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Used to working in highly regulated environment (safety, environmental, explosives, airworthiness, export control)
• Has awareness of environmental test standards related to aerospace (e.g. MIL-STD-810, RTCA/DO-160)
