MBDA UK has secured an influential position within international Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP). As Head of New Business, you role will lead a team to develop, secure and help deliver the future of GCAP and MBDA's role within it.

Job Title: Head of New Business FCAs UK

Salary: Circa £75,000 depending on experience 

Location: Bristol, Stevenage or Bolton (We could possibly offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: We trust our people to agree, within their teams, where and when they can be most effective. Our Dynamic Working policy allows individuals flexibility around the hours they work and where they work. Typically for this role you will work 2-3 days per week on-site.

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

The role will be the primary interface between the various parts of MBDA, developing and executing the GCAP strategy, leading bidding activities and supporting key customer engagements. In addition, it will lead the creation of the appropriate multinational contractual construct to deliver MBDA's scope in the programme, creating and cementing the industrial partnerships needed to make it a success.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering and developing the overall MBDA strategy within GCAP, ensuring alignment with wider UK and Group objectives
  • Developing and securing appropriate technical, commercial and financial position in the programme
  • Working with the Win Team Lead to lead the bidding activities
  • Negotiating MBDA's place in international agreements
  • Leading a multi-disciplinary team in a changing environment

What we're looking for from you:
A highly motivated individual with proven experience in developing and securing multi-million pound international programmes and designing and delivering commercial and operational constructs. Must have experience in leading a diverse team on an international programmes and previous defence sector experience.
