The role:


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at the Shoeburyness site. As a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and ensuring the operational readiness of a diverse fleet of vehicles, including tracked vehicles, armoured vehicles, gun carriers, tanks, fire engines, forklifts, tractors, grass cutters, HGVs, and other specialized vehicles.

Day-to-day, you will be:

  • Conducting routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Performing engine and transmission overhauls as needed.
  • Keeping accurate maintenance records and documentation.
  • Collaborating with a team of skilled mechanics to ensure vehicle reliability.
  • Participating in vehicle upgrades and modifications as required.

Essential experience of the Heavy Vehicle Mechanic:

  • You should have varied experience with maintenance on vehicles.

Qualifications for the Senior Systems Engineer:
