WHAT TO EXPECT

 

We are looking for a Lead Calibration Engineer – HV Systems to join our Rotating Machines Calibration chapter, where our team is creating and delivering calibrations for new electrified powertrains.

In your role as Lead Calibration Engineer, you will oversee the development and delivery of rotating machine calibration material for Electric Drive Units (EDU) and inverters for new programmes. You will support the development of new technologies, develop calibration operating model for EDU / Inverter, similarly to ICE calibration & controls software.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the future calibrations for new electrified powertrains.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Recognise, create, and specify the parameters of the EDU/inverter calibration for the Rotating Machines Calibration Chapter (focusing on the HV, Thermal, and Lubrication systems, for example).
  • Create an EDU/inverter calibration operating model that is comparable to the ICE calibration and controls software.
  • Design and confirm calibrations that satisfy programme aims and timelines, use effective calibration processes and tools in conjunction with virtual and physical testing.
  • Plan and support testing activities in UK and overseas on rigs and vehicles.
  •  Collaborate with the software team to disassemble software's embedded calibration material.
  • Communicate and work together with vendors.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Prior calibration and control expertise, preferably with fully electric or hybrid cars.
  • Proficient in data analysis, capable of drawing conclusions and putting up a well-organized synopsis.
  • Competent to co-ordinate tasks across team members, track progress and review.
  • A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas.
  • An effective team player who supports team members.
