This role is based within the Electrical Engineering department, System level functional Verification & Validation (V&V) Group, X-Domain Development Team. The team is responsible with the design, delivery and maintenance of various System Test Environments with different levels of complexity, from one or more systems in the loop, for scenario-based testing

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to develop, de-bug and validate automated test cases.
  • To Support system level functional validation.
  • Support the Test Strategy development from requirements liaising with Stakeholder and Automation Engineer.
  • Collect requirements, design, implement and deliver complex automation solutions for the System testing and simulation tools used within the group.
  • Technical know-how and experience in the integration of electrical systems
  • Work closely with the Test Platform team, to ensure all proposed solutions are scalable and in line with the wider business guidelines for automation.
  • Share all the updates and improvements of the test environment with all squads in Test as Service and its customers (Test Execution, System Test and System Coordinator, Test Environment and Integration squads)

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

  • Knowledge of application of an automation system in a complex environment
  • Scripting/programming skills in a control environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of the Automotive domain and data analytical skillset.
  • Good working knowledge on dSPACE, NI & Vector tools with key knowledge in the following;
  • Good background in delivering scenarios using dSPACE Model Desk or IPG CarMaker.
  • Proven experience in delivering software applications to generate scenarios via dSPACE Model Desk APIs and/or IPG CarMaker APIs.
  • Experience in Matlab, Vector Canoe, CAPL, VTestStudio modelling and coding,
  • good knowledge of vehicle architecture and vechicle network knowledge such as CAN, LIN, Flexray, BroadRReach
  • Strong root cause analysis skills and Issue management.
  • Experience in test case execution and management using X-Ray.
