Salary: Circa £28,000 - £32,000 per annum depending on experience

The opportunity:

MBDA UK's HR Team are looking for a HR Administrator to join and support the Client Facing HR teams to provide effective and efficient administration, undertake specific HR projects and provide diary management to the relevant HR Managers' and HR teams. This will be a varied role with the ability to help influence improvements in the way we administrate within HR.

The main role activities will be:

  • Be the contact for all of the business Directorates in the absence of the HR Advisors
  • To act as the OneHR champion (MBDA's HR System) & main point of contact to answer queries and provide guidance on use of the tool to employees and managers
  • To work with the Client Facing HR teams to help harmonise and improve certain processes in context with HR administration to create common ways of working
  • Respond to standard enquiries providing advice or guidance as to where to find the required information, managing customer expectations for effective resolution
  • To manage and support with diary, meetings and travel for the Operations HRD and HR Leads. Where appropriate organise larger meetings, events and travel for the wider Client Facing HR teams.
  • Act as a note-taker in various informal and formal meetings, as required and with support from HR Leads/HR Advisors
  • To undertake specific projects on behalf of and occasionally under some guidance from the HR Leads / HR Advisors
  • Upload, maintain and electronically file documents to DRM (electronic filing system) and the WSS (our share filing system) on the behalf of the Client Facing HR teams
  • Handle a range of HR problems or situations as appropriate and as required, including investigating records, files, databases, to resolve queries
  • Helping the HR teams utilise HR related data so we can get a common views across the business directorates
  • To support the HR teams with specific HR tasks as and when required
  • Prioritisation of tasks in environment with varying workload
  • Any other duties as requested

What we're looking for from you:

  • A highly organised, experienced and proactive Administrator
  • Somebody who is adaptable to changing workload demands
  • An advanced level of expertise on Microsoft packages such as Excel and PowerPoint is essential
  • Ideally some HR experience or qualification such as CIPD, although this is not essential
  • Have a proactive approach, and flexibility to support team and colleagues where needed
  • Experience of Workday HR System would be beneficial, but is not essential
  • Somebody with an improvement mind-set, and demonstrable experience in streamlining of process or tasks to increase efficiency
  • Strong communication skills and someone who is able to communicate with a variety of different stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment and multi-task with a range of complex organisational and business activities
