WHAT TO EXPECT
Developing and delivering a comprehensive and aligned propulsion system Functional Safety (FuSa) strategy into the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) Propulsion department, this role will work on new technologies, methods, standards, processes, people, and organisation, hardware and software tools. In particular, this will focus on Functional Safety considerations for upcoming projects to ensure a seamless transfer from development into delivery and validation. This role will ensure the common ways of working and a collaborative approach between SVO and the Core Product Engineering Powertrain department.
As the HV & Functional Safety Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring capable, robust, and documented methods across the Safety attribute and propulsion system types. You will advise and direct Feature development teams to ensure Functional Safety activities are suitably performed. You will need to contribute to the development of capable, efficient, standardised, and automated Functional Safety processes and work on ensuring Jaguar Land Rover has capable and effective tools to support the Functional Safety calibration across propulsion system architectures.
Day to day, you will contribute to the test data acquisition, management, and automated reporting, as well as coordinate process, tools and technology improvement projects. You will need to liaise with key suppliers, particularly as “Matched-pair” for software and calibration.
