Our Industrial Engineers are responsible for designing efficient systems that integrate people, information, machines, energy and materials to make products or provide services that prevent waste and inefficiencies.

In addition, they offer their support in decision making and problem solving based on data driven evidence ensuring compliance with all industry standards for safety while meeting design standards and guidelines.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and scientific knowledge to support the Production Managers, Engineering and Procurement teams.
  • Facilitate technical problem solving in conjunction with the Manufacturing, Engineering and QHSE departments.
  • Implement Lean methodologies where there are opportunities to and improve reliability/efficiency through improvements.
  • Lead implementation of automation (cobot) projects/machinery, as well as spotting new opportunities.

Required Technical Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Minimum qualification of Level 3 Diploma in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering with 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing or Electronics environment.
  • Industrial Engineering experience with associated tools and techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of lean manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles.
  • Knowledge of production processes, costs, quality control, raw materials and other methods for maximising the efficient manufacture and distribution of goods.

Desirable:

  • Degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electronics Engineering with preference in Automation OR
  • Degree in Science which heavily features a combination of Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Mechanical
  • Experience of using 3D Simulation/CAD Viewing software
  • Competitor benchmarking experience
  • Knowledge of and involvement in the product development phase
  • Project management experience
  • Full UK driving licence
