The opportunity!

We're looking for an Industrial Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Bolton. You'll be supporting the implementation of the industrial verification plans across our supply base, carrying out product assessments, and chipping in to production readiness reviews.

Working closely with our Industrial Manager, you'll provide support to the manufacturing product teams, defect review boards, and project meetings, and take ownership of any supplier issues that need resolving. For any issues or non-conformances that could affect timing, cost, and quality, implement containment actions and handle the remedial activity with our suppliers. As well as this, you'll be responsible for setting the goods inwards inspection criteria (using SAP), and handle the product verification with the suppliers on delivery.

We need you to have experience of manufacturing and machining processes, and as collaboration is key to your success in this role, you'll need to be a good communicator, able to negotiate and influence, and work with a variety of support functions like Project Management, Supply Chain, and Procurement.

What we're looking for from you!
  • In depth knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes, and be able to define, re-engineer, and review these processes
  • Ideally qualified to HNC.HND or equivalent, plus substantial proven experience
  • Understanding of the principles and processes of project management, supply chain, commercial and finance functions
  • UKAS Lead Assessor qualified
  • Good communication skills including the ability to negotiate and influence
