Industrial Operations: Manufacturing  

Manufacturing sits within our new Industrial Operations function. Our Industrial Operations function incorporates all teams across manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain and consolidates accountability for the complete ecosystem of how we produce our vehicles, in one place.  

Manufacturing is at the very heart of Jaguar Land Rover, with thousands of vehicles being created every day across our production facilities. Here you will have the opportunity to influence the future of manufacturing.  

Engineering Manufacturing Centre (EMC) and Battery Assembly Centre (BAC) 

This industry-leading scheme is aimed at graduates who have a passion for learning and a pioneering mindset: ambitious, innovative and determined individuals who respect our heritage and can think beyond the challenges of today to build the cars of tomorrow. With a blend of hands-on experience and qualifications to target, you will work on projects that are fundamental to our global success. Our EMC and BAC produce a range of propulsion systems that form the heart of all our vehicles in the form of traditional internal combustion engines as well as pioneering battery electrification technology. 

The EMC machines and assembles a range of propulsion systems within a state-of-the-art purpose-built manufacturing facility. Meanwhile, the BAC produces our cutting-edge electric propulsion battery, which powers our newest and most advanced hybrid vehicles. 

Whether you are allocated to be the EMC or BAC as your home site, which will depend on your personal preferences and business needs, you can get involved in anything from Material Planning & Logistics to Production Operations or Internal Plant Quality. Wherever you focus, you will become an integral part of our team as you support the production of innovative solutions. 

What’s required? 

You will need to hold or be on track to achieve at least a 2.2 degree in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) discipline (not including biology or life sciences).  

You will have a real passion for problem solving and the curiosity to understand business challenges and deliver innovative solutions. You will also have strong numerical and interpersonal skills and the confidence to champion new initiatives. 

Rewards and benefits 

We haven’t yet confirmed our 2023 graduate programme salary, but in 2022 this was £29,000. You’ll also receive a £2,000 joining bonus to welcome you to Jaguar Land Rover, plus a generous holiday allowance, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, an excellent pension scheme and access to a wide range of deals and discounts from retailers and sports clubs.
