We are seeking a motivated and organised Applications Manager to join our Information Systems team. Ideal candidate will have a blend of technical knowledge, project management skills and an understanding of business processes. This is a new role and will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of the operational software applications. Job Title: Information Systems Applications Manager

Salary: Circa £50-£55K depending on experience 

Location: Stevenage, Bolton or Bristol

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 1-2 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: This role will require SC Clearance. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

An opportunity has arisen for an Applications Manager within MBDA Information Systems. This is a new position within IS and will be responsible for overseeing the management and optimisation of predominantly the Collaboration software solutions at a Group level and UK operational applications. You will work with the application administrators and third-party vendors to ensure the seamless integration, functionality and support of applications in line with operational strategies.

The Application Manager will also play a key role in managing the application lifecycle, leading projects for upgrades; new functionality and troubleshoot issues as they arise. In addition engaging with various business stakeholders on future needs.

  • Some experience in application management, IT project management or a related role.
  • Proficiency in application lifecycle management and Project management
  • Familiarity with application integration methods, databases, cloud platforms and security best practices.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities with the capability to work across various departments
  • Some leadership/management skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
