The Information Systems Engineering team are taking transformative steps to build a team of application and technology specialist in support of the customer programmes. An experienced Project Manager is needed to ensure the continued success.

Job Title: Information Systems Project Manager

Salary: Circa £50,000 to £65,000 depending on experience 

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site to ensure team engagement.

Location: The team is based in Bolton with team members in Stevenage. For an exceptional candidate Bristol is also a possible base location.

Security Clearance: British Citizen. The role will require SC to be obtained.

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

In order to ensure delivery of the solutions, we are seeking an experienced Information Systems Project Manager who is ready to lead a variety of information systems projects in a supportive and dynamic work culture. In this role, you will help ensure the smooth delivery of projects, foster collaboration across teams, and ensure project success. You'll work alongside talented professionals, guiding projects from initiation to completion while balancing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.

What we're looking for from you:

  • Proven experience in planning and executing information systems or technology released project to an industry standard methodology e.g. PMP, Prince2, Waterfall, Agile. Certification is an advantage but not required.
  • Ability to lead the planning and execution of information systems projects, ensuring effective collaboration across all information management teams based on clear project plans, objectives, deliverables, and timelines
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative leadership style with a passion for encouraging diverse perspectives and fostering an inclusive team environment.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Primavera) and systems engineering techniques as applied to application lifecycles
  • Behaviours that align with the MBDA values and which champion continuous learning and improvement, encouraging growth within the team and the organization.
