An opportunity has arisen to join the Sparkworks RF Directed Energy Weapons and Low Observability (Stealth) Integration and Systems Validation Team, due to an increasing workload. The role involves providing a world leading and business winning trials and testing capability to the UK MoD.
Job Title: Integration and Systems Validation Engineer
Salary: Up to £45,000 depending on experience
Location: Bristol (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)
Dynamic (hybrid) working: typically, 3-5 days per week on-site, due to workload classification (depending on testing)
Security Clearance: British Citizen only!
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
The opportunity:
You will be involved in the whole lifecycle of a multitude of differing projects, typically running for only a year or two at a time. Whilst the primary focus is testing of hardware and model validation, a lot of work is involved is getting to the point of testing.
Agreeing testing requirements, producing planning and safety documentation, developing & building test hardware and report writing all form part of the job as well as the trial conduct itself.
The test phases also vary in size, from small screened room tests in Filton to offsite (UK and overseas) multi week deployments.
Each team member also has a secondary role to do with maintaining and evolving our world leading testing capability.
