The IT Network Engineer role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

The role

The difference our new IT Network Engineer will make

As an IT Network Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll support the vital Skynet Service Delivery Organisation, develop and maintain VoIP and Wi-Fi service available worldwide. Reporting to the Head of Transformation, you’ll also be part of a multi-million pound programme of technology change. This is a fast-paced, challenging role on a significant project.

Day to day, you’ll be responsible for the review and delivery into service of VoIP and Wi-Fi end to end service, 2nd and 3rd line support, testing & integration of the solution and you’ll also contribute to the Continuous Service Improvement, development roadmap and KPI reporting.

Essential experience

• University degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related discipline
• Experience managing Wi-Fi access point & controller infrastructure
• Experience using Aruba ClearPass (or equivalent)
 • Demonstratable experience developing and supporting VoIP solutions
