MBDA is a leading defence organisation. We are proud of the role we play in supporting the Armed Forces who protect our nations. We partner with governments to work together towards a common goal, defending our freedom.
The Portfolio Management Joint Working Team has a vital role in promoting activities that support Relationship Building, Stakeholder Engagement, Learning & Development and Communications between MBDA and the Ministry of Defence (MOD). We are transforming and modernising how we communicate with all stakeholders and are consistently seeking to improve. The successful candidate will lead Communication activities and support all other aspects of our Joint Working interventions.
Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience
What we can offer you:
Hybrid working pattern: Where possible, we will seek to accommodate a blended approach to on-site and remote working. Typically this would include at least two days working from an MBDA site.
The opportunity:
We are looking for a Joint Working Advisor (Communications Lead) in MBDA UK with previous experience of working in internal communications in a complex organisation, or with a strong track record in communications, PR, media or related fields who is keen to apply their skills and broaden their experiences into internal communications.
Working with colleagues in the MBDA and the UK MOD, the role involves managing and providing best practice advice to multiple stakeholders at all levels of our organisation and is critical to enhancing the reputation of The Portfolio Team Communications in the business. With good organisation skills, you'll be able to develop and deliver a plan, but also be adaptable to manage changing circumstances.
Able to turn complex information into something understandable for all Stakeholders, you'll have outstanding written skills and experience of delivering engaging content across a wide range of media and formats. You'll be keen to listen and learn, but able to use your knowledge, experience and insights to provide effective guidance to all our stakeholders. You'll also be eager to measure the impact of your work.
Our ideal candidate will work as part of a creative team, with an open and supportive outlook. With the pragmatism to focus and prioritise what is most important to the business and joint working with the MOD. You will also strive to constantly improve what we do and how we do it. We operate in a unique environment which requires commitment and dedication but provides an opportunity to do some career-defining work for the right person.
The successful candidate will report to the Joint Working Manager and support the Portfolio Executive - Joint Working. This will mean supporting Relationships Development, Stakeholder Engagement and Learning and Development interventions.
