Job Title: Junior CAD Draughtsperson

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Salary: £19,000 - £24,500

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

The role & responsibilities:

• Interpretation of customer's requirements from drawings or computer models
• Negotiating / liaising with customers and suppliers face to face or via telephone
• Involvement in all processes from quotations, sales orders and purchasing
• Supporting engineering with detailed 2D and 3D drawings suitable for manufacturing
• Create renders for customer approval
• Liaison with material and subcontract service suppliers
• Preparation of works orders and operation routes

Knowledge and skills:

• A highly motivated and proactive person who can demonstrate successful experience in a similar role or CAD environment
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask, prioritising your workload within a fast-paced changing environment, proving a high degree of self-motivation
• Demonstrating a willingness to support others in all areas of the business
• Proficient with using computers, MS Office, databases, and spreadsheets

Experience:

• Must have some CAD experience
• Experience in a subcontract engineering, sheet metal background or with Solidworks would be advantageous
• Previously worked under an ISO controlled system
