Job Title: Laser Operator

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Purpose of job:

To operate and maintain laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
• Set up machine parameters, to achieve optimal cutting results
• Monitor the cutting process and adjust as necessary to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimise downtime
• Inspect finished parts for quality defects and take corrective actions as needed
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment

Skills & attributes:

• Prior experience operating laser cutting equipment, preferably with Trumpf lasers
• Familiarity with CNC programming and machine controls
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality orientation
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures
