THE OPPORTUNITY

 To be part and lead of a fast-growing In-House Product Design team that will deliver the next generation of vehicles, using re-purposed and brand-new technology and techniques. You will be creating the future of mobility and automotive for years to come.

 

WHAT TO EXPECT 

 

  • Leading In-House Design and Development of both simple and complex Interior systems and sub-systems of next generation vehicles
  • Agile approach and management of applying modelling expertise in the development of core AVA model: from building concepts to helping efficient and effective integration - leading the delivery of CAD geometry, defining interfaces, managing the development till sign-off and successful delivery - in vehicle interiors' simple and complex designs
  • Leading and managing the design and development in the AVA Team of Design Engineers, CAD experts and Module Leaders, creating high-value product increments
  • Coordinating FEA / CAD / TEST activities for In-House Design and ensuring that the appropriate and high standards are met through-out design maturation
  • Cooperating and liaising with other areas of Body Engineering and other functional areas, suppliers and the Programme teams to ensure successful delivery, with the possibility to acquiring innovative solutions and providing input into new feature developments

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

  • Catia V5 and /or V6
  • Use of Digital, CAD, CAE, etc. tools to develop component system geometry
  • Knowledge and use of Problem-solving Techniques in the development process
  • Experience of investigative tools and methods to resolve complex system issues

 

  • Ideally experienced in managing resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment or In House development team
  • Previous Plastic development/product integration/injection moulding experience
  • A good working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes
  • Fluent in English
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred

 
Desirable 
 

  • Initial experience of delivery of a sub-system with a level of complex technical challenge
  • Experience in 6 Sigma - DMAIC and DFSS. DFMEA / PFMEA
