What You’ll Do
A technical lead into the facility projects and HSE teams. The role will lead the input into the delivery of the Engineering Operations (Powertrain) test facilities for the integration into the test buildings, ensuring compliance with fire and safety systems. The role will encompass the whole delivery process from the review of building safety standards in all project workstreams, through the specification of projects, the installation and acceptance prior to handover of equipment to customers. The role will also support the Powertrain HSE team through the inspection of the in-use equipment and the buildings to identify noncompliance with proposals for rectification. As part of the role support will need to be provided to the operations team, liaising and assisting with queries.
The Engineering Operations test facilities are evolving and growing as new technology and systems are desired by our customers, this in turn challenges the existing facilities and leads the requirement for additional capabilities. Challenges such as explosive gases, physical battery integration, implementation of safety systems and required building systems will all be a challenge to the successful candidate with someone who can think outside the box for the speedy implementation of solutions a real bonus.
