They are a family-based company providing all types of lifting solutions for over 40 years. Their core business offering is the design and manufacture of bespoke cranes and lifting equipment alongside conducting LOLER inspections and safety checks for various industries up and down the country.

 

About The Role

 

As a Lifting Equipment Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out on-site inspections on lifting equipment and lifting accessories, in accordance with LOLER regulations, alongside workshop-based inspections. You will be responsible for maintaining customer registers using our cloud-based database.

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

  • Carry out inspections of lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER regulations.
  • Conduct fault finding procedures to recognise defective equipment. 
  • Carry out the necessary repairs effectively to restore lifting equipment to a safe working condition on customer sites and the company's workshop.
  • Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner line with set company procedures via our cloud-based database.
  • Adhere to quality, health & safety, and environmental regulations.

Candidate Requirements

 

The company are looking for candidates who are motivated and keen to learn and build their industry knowledge. To succeed in this application as a Lifting Engineer, you will bring the following skill sets to the role:

 

  • Experience of carrying out Lifting Equipment inspections on items including Chains, Slings, Shackles, plus various other forms of Lifting and Handling Equipment.
  • LEEA Qualifications or time served in relevant industry is advantageous.
  • Good Understanding of method statements and risk assessments.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy when completing inspection paperwork.
  • A good understanding of the fundamentals of general engineering.

Overseas candidates will NOT be considered for this role. Must eligible to work in the UK.
