The role

The company is recruiting Maintenance Technicians (Nationwide) for both traditional and LED Lighting technologies and control systems.

To carry out both planned and reactive maintenance and installation, primarily lighting and associated electrical works within the retail sector and on other commercial premises.

Main Responsibilities include

• Ensure all works are carried out in line with appropriate current regulations.
• Ensure all aspects of work instructions are carried out in a timely and efficient manner to standards exceeding Customer expectations.
• Co-ordination of activities with Customers onsite Staff and Challenger Head Office.
• Ability to travel across numerous Customer Sites.
• The job role requires early starts for works to be carried out on sites prior to occupation of some of their customer premises.

Ideal Candidate (e = Essential / d = Desirable)

• 17th or 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations. (e)
• Portable Appliance Testing Qualified. (d)
• Working knowledge of lighting systems. (d)
• Good understanding of Safety, Health, Environment and Emergency Lighting Regulations. (d)
• Functional I.T. skills. (e)
• IPAF licence. (d)
• Full Driving licence. (e)

Benefits

Full training will be given to the suitable candidate at Gosport Head Office with the opportunity to undertake other courses to expand on existing knowledge. However, Electrical Experience is a necessity.

• A flexible approach to working hours and times is required with a willingness to work on overnight projects when / if required.
• Working hours are based on a 'home to home' basis - average hours are 45 hours per week.
• Uniform and full PPE are provided along with a Company vehicle.
