The Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has the desire to pursue a career within a preventative engineering environment. You'll become part of a team at one of our customer locations delivering an Engineering Support Service, which includes a preventive corrosion control regime.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Follow a prescribed program for preventative maintenance to mitigate corrosion
  • Ensure annual cleaning of each asset to prevent corrosion
  • Provide technical assessment and interpretation of corrosion/inspection monitoring data
  • Contribute supporting evidence for periodic reports on corrosion status
  • Replace corroded components using the most cost-effective method
  • Implement new Corrosion Protection (CP) systems and assess existing CP systems
  • Work alongside the embedded team to deliver preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Sustain outdoor work often at height using pressure washer devices, air compressors, and power tools

The Maintenance Technician role is full time and based onsite in Bude.

Skills and experience of the Maintenance Technician

  • Willing and able to perform a variety of corrosion related tasks in an outdoor environment
  • The ability to work at height, with confidence
  • Knowledge of corrosion and corrosion control is advantageous, but not essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint etc); Adobe Acrobat and other productivity tools
  • Knowledge of the Defence and Security industry (desirable but not essential)
  • Full UK Driving licence

Please note that this position is subject to national security vetting. The successful candidate must be a UK national who is able to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements for this role (this will include obtaining SC and Developed Vetting (DV) level of security clearances).
