Job Title: Manufacturing Trainer

Salary: Circa £43,000 depending on experience 

Location: Bolton (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role)

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:

This opportunity is for an Operations Trainer to join the Training Team, where you will develop and train individuals to internationally recognised standards in a leading edge technology environment. You will be responsible for the control and maintenance of all auditable training documentation and records. .

  • Support the effective training, development and ESD co-ordination of Manufacturing personnel
  • Provide an awareness of H&S when delivering training, ensuring that Training Activities are carried out in a way that promotes a Safe Working Environment
  • Deliver effective skills competency training for our Apprentice population and provide input to the Apprentice Placement Plan and Early Careers Programmes as required 
  • Certify and recertify operators to the relevant IPC qualification
  • Conduct all in-house training (inc. refreshers & re-certs) to cover TPA requirements
  • Generate and maintain records of Training Plans, Scope of Approval Certificates and Skills Matrices
  • Ensure smooth operation of Manufacturing training, by requesting training equipment as required

What we're looking for from you:

  • Qualifications required (all of the below):
    • Engineering / Manufacturing Apprenticeship (Advanced Level or L3 Standard)
    • Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 academic qualification (ONC, diploma, etc.)
    • Engineering / Manufacturing Level 3 vocational qualification (NVQ)
  • Ideal educational requirements:
    • IPC-A-610 CIT
    • IPC J-STD-001 CIT
    • IPC-A-620 CIT
  • Dynamic cabling experience desirable
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and adaptable individual able to deal with complex situations
  • Problem solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to self-manage the company training requirements
  • Ability to deliver presentation material to supplement training deliverables
  • People management skills would be advantageous
