Position: Multi-Skilled Technician (Mechanical Bias)

Location: Blackpool Bakery 

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: The position is on a Continental Shift Pattern, covering days and nights and working 12 hour shifts

4 week shift pattern below

Week 1: 4 shifts – Monday – Thursday (DDNN)

Week 2: 5 shifts – Tuesday – Sunday (DDNNN)

Week 3: 3 days – Friday – Sunday (DDD)

Week 4: 2 days – Monday – Tuesday (NN)

Salary: Competitive, plus an increase after probation period is past.

Why work as part of our team?

We are looking for an ambitious Engineer with a Mechanical Bias who is seeking a challenging and rewarding role at the heart of our business at our Blackpool Manufacturing Site.

You will provide a timely and effective engineering service to our customers in production whilst ensuring safety, quality and hygiene standards are met.

What does your typical day look like?

You will support the site engineering requirements, incorporating plants and all associated equipment. You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair on a diverse range of plant and equipment and will be expected to contribute effectively to all planned preventive maintenance across the factory. You will be a time served and qualified mechanical engineer and will have had previous experience in a fast moving/high volume manufacturing environment. 

What are the key ingredients needed for the role?

Ideally candidate will have completed a relevant apprenticeship or hold equivalent qualifications and experience. 

You should possess a sound knowledge of mechanical systems, with experience relevant experience from within a fast-moving environment i.e. manufacturing, logistics, automotive, 

You will need to have good problem solving skills and enjoy solving problems, be a team player and happy to get stuck in and add value from day one
