Do you want an opportunity to work in the French countryside? AWE is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to work within our Epure facility in France. If you have experience in product assembly or mechanical engineering solutions, we want to hear from you.

Location: Epure, France (North of Dijon)

Salary: £35,720- £53,000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

The Role?

  • Under supervision contribute to the delivery of product assembly specifications, operational documentation and validation evidence for mechanical engineering solutions in relation to defined requirements
  • Mechanical Assembly of Containment vessel parts
  • Data capture and maintaining Quality records
  • Contribute to the production and delivery of high-quality technical reports and presentations
  • Identify and support opportunities for cost savings, efficiency and business improvement
  • Assist the Technical Lead in managing partnerships
  • Support the Senior Engineer in scoping, planning, and estimating future activities
  • Organises own training and development under the guidance of a professional mentor

As a Mechanical Engineer you will have the opportunity to contribute towards the production of containment vessel parts as well as the delivery of high-quality technical reports and presentations. You will work in collaboration with our French colleagues and multidiscipline UK team.

Candidates must be willing and able to:

  • Reasonably expect to spend an extended period overseas.
  • To communicate in the French language (training will be provided, to ensure you are able to converse in French, but it should be recognised that significant personal commitment and self-study will be required to reach the required level).
  • Hold a valid driving licence .
  • Willing to work within a high hazard environment.
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel.
