The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the waterfront engineering systems and management of the on-site fitters.

Day-to-day, you'll support the engineering manager in leading and managing the waterfront engineering teams, ensuring tasks are delivered safely, on time and to specification.

  • Mechanical maintenance of mechanical engineering systems
  • Day-to-day management of the mechanical fitters
  • Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Clyde's cost, time and quality requirements
  • Identify and generate solutions for engineering issues within the facility
  • Produce, review and amend planned maintenance documentation

This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at HMNB Clyde.

Experience required of the Mechanical Engineer

  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of risk assessments

Qualifications for the Mechanical Engineer

  • HNC / HND in relevant engineering subject
  • ILM Level 3 or equivalent
  • Working at heights preferred

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
