You'll be part of our Mission Systems business unit, who enable our customers to deliver their mission, through our products and solutions, using intelligence and analysis and delivering critical communication services.

Our aim is to be at the centre of our customers' modern digital backbone by connecting and delivering sensors, decision support, and air effectors across military and business domains.

The role

As a Mechanical Engineering Discipline Leader, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You will lead our Mechanical Engineering Discipline of around 120 engineers, driving our technical capabilities forward and managing the efficient deployment of our engineering workforce.

We operate a balanced matrix structure which allows our people to be deployed over a wide range of exciting projects over the course of their career and looking for someone who'll take responsibility and feel empowered to solve complex problems with simple and elegant solutions.

Essential experience of the Discipline Leader

* Experienced over a wide range of mechanical design engineering areas, including the digital tools used for design, analysis and product lifecycle management, high integrity mechanical design and fluid power design and control.
* An accomplished leader, with evidenced capabilities in technical and people leadership.

Qualifications Required

* Qualified in a relevant technical degree
* A member of a professional institution with which you hold Chartered or Incorporated status

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
